Introduction
This center was opened on September 27, Year 91 of the R.O.C.(2002) and the admission is free with the main purpose of assisting academic institutes to conduct research work within the center. The main idea is to promote mossback ecology protection through exhibitions, helping instill in people the need to protect these turtles. It is an excellent ecological education center. The exhibition zone consists of six sub-zones in the Exhibition hall: a brief introduction to the island,
the Mossback turtle, protected creatures in Penghu and the South China Sea, the relationship between turtles and people and a brief introduction to tourist sites in Penghu County. Services include tourist advice, guides and documentaries. |
